Chicken Manchurian recipe

Chicken Manchurian recipe or sweet and sour chicken has lots of different recipes like any other dish. The crunchy chick preparation may be the same in all cases but the sauce making differs because some people use pineapple and its juice for that sweet flavor, some use sugar. since I do not like it too sweet, therefore, ketchup did the job of add sweetness to my dish. There is no hard and fast rule to make Chicken Manchurian so why not make it at home in a restaurant-style at low cost. The ingredients you would need are

Chicken Manchurian recipe ingredients

• Chicken cut into cubes
• Ginger paste
• Garlic paste
• Soya sauce
• Vinegar
• Salt
• Black pepper
• Cornflour

Directions for preparing the chicken:
Mix all the above ingredients together in a bowl. You can add an egg white which acts as a binding agent but I have not used it because the marinade was well coated with the chicken pieces and adding corn starch did the binding agents’ job. Once the chicken is marinated coat it with white flour or cornstarch and fry it. The chicken should be well cooked yet with a crunchy texture.
Tip: To make the chicken crunchy. Once you fry them and take out, drop them into the same oil and fry for a minute and take them out. The resulting fried chicken will be crunchier.

Ingredients for Sauce preparation:
• Onions cut into cubes
• Capsicum cut into cubes
• Green chilies cut into diamonds
• Soya sauce
• Chili sauce
• Tomato ketchup
• Cornstarch
• Water
• Chinese salt
• Cooking oil

Directions for preparing the sauce:
Add oil to a pan, into it add onions stir for a minute and add capsicum and chilies. After a minute of mixing the vegetables add soya sauce, chili sauce and tomato ketchup and Chinese salt .mix them well and then add water while adding tablespoon cornstarch to it. For more sauce means adding more corn starch water at this stage. Now, add the fried chicken and mix well and turn off the flame. Serve the delicious sweet and sour Chicken Manchurian with white rice.
